My skin routine

Cleansing

1. Bioré Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash - really gentle, soft whip. It doesn't dry the skin.

2. Sephora facial brush - also soft, but helps cleaning deeper.

Tonifying & Hydrating

1. Chanel Précision Lotion Douceur - anti-polution gentle facial toner. For me, the main purpose of using a toner its to help spreading the moisture and save it, as I said before.

2. Guerlain Secret Divin  - skin perfecting serum anti-ageing. I really love this serum, it makes my skin really velvety.

3. Chanel Précision Hydramax+Active (Cream) - one of my favorite moisturizers of all time. I've review it here.

4. Bioré UV Bright Face Milk (SPF 50+/PA+++) - very fluid sunblocker, pretty easy to apply. It doesn't make your face white, like some more thick SPF 50 sunblockers.

Weekly Deep Cleansing

1. Guerlain Secret de Pureté - gentle polishing exfoliator. I actually use it 2 or 3 times a week, 'cause it's really gentle and gives the skin a fresh look.

2. Kiko Scrub & Peel - new skin effect wipes. These ones are a little agressive, I use it only once a week. It makes the skin baby-soft!

3. Formula 10.0.6 Down to the Pore - I found this pore strips at Sephora. Seems like we have another brand besides Nivea and T-Zone in Portugal! They are pretty similar to those from T-Zone (actually I think the only difference is the package) but more expensive. You can read my pore strips reviews here and here. My favorites are definitely Bioré Pore Stripes.

4. Kiko Purifying Mask - remineralizing mask that matifies skin. It works perfectly with the scrubbing wipes...the skin gets really smooth and soft.

Besides having good quality products I think discipline in skin routine its very important to keep it flawless and glowing! If you don't have time or if you are lazy to use so much stuff everyday, at least protect your skin with sun blocker (or, even better, a moisturize with SPF) if you're going to be out in the day light. It's the best way of preventing skin aging and, more importantly, other skin related issues, like cancer. Have a nice weekend!

My eye & eyebrow's best friends...

1. Yves Saint Laurent Touch Éclat - an essencial on your make-up arsenal. Besides lifting and defining your eyebrows this highlighter also helps hiding your dark circles. Also, you can apply it on cheek bones, nose, chin, or any other area that needs a boost of light! Like most europeans, I use shade 2.

2. Estée Lauder Shimmering Jewel Powder - I rarely use eye shadow on daily basis but I like to apply this shimmering powder under my eyebrows and eyelids...It really enhances the eyes and helps defining the eyebrows!

3. Kiko Ultimate Pen - I'm really clumsy (and lazy) when it comes to eyeliner...so this pen is a real must have to me. It makes the application super easy - I highly recommend it!

4. Eyelash curler - just a regular eyelash curler...I always use it before mascara. Actually, I think mascara only does what it is suppose to do if you use an eyelash curler first - unless you are lucky enough to have naturally long curled eyelashes.

5. Chanel Inimitable Mascara (10, black) - this is my favorite mascara of all time, it is really inimitable! It doesn't leaves clumps and eyelashes are perfectly separated. I usually use just one coat, unless I want a more dramatic look.

6. Tweezerman Ilashcomb - I use this metal teeth lash comb when I apply more than one coat of mascara or when I use those volume mascaras that leaves clumps. Be carefull 'cause those teeth are like needles! I've pinched my fingers several times. Luckily, I've never pinched an eye...so I use it only when I really need it.

7. Benefit Instant Brow Pencil - this is one of Benefit's products I told you about on a previous post. It fills the sparse areas on the brows and helps defining them with a very natural powder-like finish. It comes with a special blending spoolie.

8. Tweezerman BrowMousse - perfect when you're having a bad brow day. It keeps the eyebrows on place with a natural finish and, most importantly, it doesn't flakes when it dries!

Oscar marathon #4

Just a quick update on my oscar marathon...

At the moment I'm really short of time for watching movies & blogging...and the Oscar's ceremony is tomorrow!

~ The Artist ~

I'm a huge fan of black & white and silent movies, so I just loved this one! I highly recommend it...It is nominated for 10 oscars - best motion picture of the year, best performance by an actor in a leading role, best performance by an actress in a supporting role, best original screenplay, best original score, best achievement in film editing, best achievement in directing, best achievement in costume design, best achievement in cinematography and best achievement in art direction. I really hope it gets, at least, best performance by an actor in a leading role and best performance by an actress in a supporting role...their job is absolutely amazing and inspiring! Plus, the soundtrack is lovely...Take a look at the trailer, here!

~ The Help ~

Another great movie, but, in my humble opinion, not an Oscar winning movie...For those, like me, who loved The Color Purple, this movie will make your day. Really good performances and smart script! Nominated for best motion picture of the year, best performance by an actress in a leading role and two times for best performance by an actress in a supporting role - Jessica Chastain & Octavia Spencer. Click here for the trailer.

Honestly, I think this year (actually, in the last years) we don't have any majestic movie on the run...remember Braveheart, The Silence Of The Lambs, Forest Gump? Not to mention the good old ones. What about Titanic? I was 11, fell in love with DiCaprio and cried my heart out - I know it's lame, but who didn't?...Since then, I've been waiting for another breath taking movie like that.

Now, changing subject...I've bought some really nice stuff from Benefit and will be blogging about that latter...Have a nice weekend!
